Might work in certain environments. In my case it's a big no. Since I'm running point on fixes and advising I need to be firm with people pushing back at me like that. Steps need to be completed and processes need to be done in order, if not we'll yeah many other things will go south.

It happens in most jobs. I had a lower rank trying to talk down on me for a fix. In the end I was right he was wrong and I carried on. The person was salty for hours.
