Victor Manuel Diaz was kidnapped from Minneapolis. He was my neighbor and he died in an American concentration camp. He was not "illegal," he was a human being made in the image of the divine. May his memory be a blessing, and may the rest of us fight like hell until we stop this brutality.
This is the sixth death in ICE custody in 18 days. This isn’t enforcement, it’s a system that cages people, outsources care, and shrugs when they die. Abolish ICE.

ICE is using an array of tools and programs to track people's social media activity and location. But 404 Media journalist Joseph Cox told Minnesota Now host Nina Moini that there's a "solid and robust" way to help combat even more surveillance: turning off your phone's location services.
How ICE uses phone and internet data to identify and track people
ICE recently purchased two programs called Tangles and Webloc, which are used to track the cell phone activity of entire neighborhoods and monitor people over social media and through internet data, a...

Fort Snelling has been the advance guard of federal invasion in the homelands of the Dakota people since 1805. In the current “surge,” Fort Snelling is serving as the center of operations for ICE, the FBI, and other federal forces invading Minnesota.

a major thing that I love about gay people is the fashion. I went out to a casual gay bar and there are people dressed to the nines in every aesthetic (and enough people in flannel that I fit in with what I wore) I love it so MUCH

Devastating for scientists and their research, and everyone who benefits from that research.

I’m not sure if everyone outside academia is aware that a delay or “pause” in grant funding often means the researchers themselves are lost from the field, along with their expertise.
NIH appears to have canceled/postponed all of its study sections—the independent review panels that approve federal grants for health research.

Such grants fund the work/salaries of 300k people at more than 2,500 institutions
All NIH study sections canceled indefinitely. This will halt science and devastate research budgets in universities.

Remember, no matter what some government run by a fascist says - you are who you say you are. You define yourself. No one else. The state & powerful try to dictate our bodies to control & exploit us - our labor, our energy, our lives - for themselves. But you get to choose yourself. Fuck ‘em.
