Preserving and sharing the history of Maynard, Massachusetts through stories and our extensive online collection.
For many decades Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) was a significant part of Maynard's history. Here is a 50-year old copy of "Digital This Week", a (not surprisingly) weekly newsletter that started in Maynard and branched out to many of the DEC facilities in the area.

A drone shot of Maynard from 100 years ago? No, this is a photograph taken from Summer Hill, which had far fewer trees on it than today. You would need a drone to reproduce this scene today.

So we went back another 10 years to the Grade 2 Class Picture - 1965 from the Theodore Roosevelt School. We have quite a few names on this one, but if you recognize anyone we haven't identified please let us know.

Happy New Year! Our first post for 2025 and our first here on BlueSky.

Looking back a century we present the Maynard High School Class of 1925. We have less than half of the people identified, so if you recognize a family member let us know!
