the way they talk about art in general (visual as seen in my screenie + writing as well) feels off, though i can’t quantify it beyond Vibes. combined with the really strict rules it just screams “give us high effort art that matches our preferences for nothing in return please”

maybe it was necessary. when youre outlawing everything that makes horror what it is AND restricting art submissions to only be traditional ink drawings or paintings, no comics or cartoony art styles, the only way to get submissions for your horror zine is to… remove the requirement for horror? lol

got nosy and snooped around their website, and their art rules are also weird. what do you mean art submissions for your horror zine don’t have to be horror themed….?
