Thank you to Chief O’Hara for increasing patrols around all places of worship after recent hate crimes. Minneapolis welcomes and loves all — and hate toward any neighbor will never be tolerated.

This morning, Temple Israel woke up to anti-Semitic threats — a reminder that hate still tries to find a foothold. It won’t find one here. Minneapolis stands with our Jewish neighbors. Hiding behind hate to spread fear aganst any religion or group of people is cowardly and unacceptable in our city.

A safe, stable home is the foundation for everything else. Since 2018, Minneapolis has invested more than $400 million in affordable housing and homelessness response — partnering with developers like James Crumble to make that foundation possible for more families.

Honored to welcome Crown Prince Haakon of Norway to Minneapolis for the opening of a new exhibit at Norway House on Franklin Avenue and a conversation about the future of collaboration between Norway and Minnesota. We’re thrilled to have you in our great city!

Our City’s new traffic safety cameras are about preventing reckless driving, stopping crashes, and saving lives — not writing tickets.

Whether you’re biking, rolling, driving, or walking across Minneapolis, everyone deserves to get where they’re going safely.

Latino Business Week celebrates the energy, talent, and innovation that Latino entrepreneurs bring to Minneapolis. They fuel our economy, create jobs, and build community.

Their success is Minneapolis’ success — I’m proud to officially proclaim this week as Latino Business Week!

Thanks to our state lawmakers and City staff, we’re rolling this out with fairness, equity, and privacy at the center.

Minneapolis is flipping the switch on five new traffic safety cameras. If you speed, you’ll get a ticket — but the real goal is saving lives.

This is a key step in our Vision Zero commitment to end traffic deaths, especially in spots where speeding has put people most at risk.

A month ago, Minneapolis faced a tragedy no city should ever have to face. Yet, too many communities know this pain. We’ll keep fighting for stronger gun laws—and every solution to keep kids safe. We owe it to our children to use every tool we have to prevent this from happening again.

33 new police officers just joined MPD — our biggest class in years. They come from all kinds of backgrounds but share one goal: keeping Minneapolis safe. I am extremly grateful they chose to step up for our city. www.startribune.com/after-length...

Amid harmful anti-immigrant rhetoric, our message in Minneapolis is clear: we stand with our Latino neighbors. Latino-owned businesses are anchors of our city—but many are struggling. This Hispanic Heritage Month, let’s show up: dine in, shop local, support them. www.startribune.com/latino-busin...

Rosh Hashanah is a time to reflect on the year behind us and look ahead. Minneapolis’ Jewish community has long been at the heart of our city’s story—shaping culture, building neighborhoods, and strengthening the place we call home. Wishing all a new year of love and connection.

The Dakota isn’t just a music club — it’s part of Minneapolis’ soul. For 40 years, it’s been a place where local talent shares the stage with national icons, and where community comes together over great music and great food. Here’s to the next 40!

This kind of investment doesn’t just build a branch — it sends a signal that North is strong, and worth even more investment. Excited to see this momentum keep growing!

It’s a big week for North Minneapolis. The new Wells Fargo branch at Satori Village is officially open — and on top of that, they just announced $3.2M in grants to support small businesses, workforce training, and families right here in our community.

Honored to join community for the 2nd annual Native American Elder’s Day. Our Elders are keepers of culture, tradition, and language — and their wisdom continues to guide Minneapolis.

Huge thanks to Maren Hardy and Spirit Care Services for organizing this celebration! Miigwech.

Following recent violence in South Minneapolis, we’ve opened a Neighborhood Assistance Center with The Family Partnership to support those impacted. We will have free services — including trauma support, victim services, medical care, and resources for unsheltered residents.
