I had a dog who was entirely uninterested in chasing squirrels, chipmunks or other small creatures, but always tried to bolt after any deer she saw. Such a look of betrayal in her eyes when I wouldn’t let her off the leash. No idea what she planned to do if she ever caught up to one.

Yes, the ability to instantly and constantly place bets on ridiculous minutia is a huge aspect of the problem, but we wouldn’t go wrong by just banning the whole enterprise. There’s probably a middle ground, but I don’t think there’s a moral duty to find it.

Tonight, 7 got the plates out, so 3 cried, because HE wanted to get them. So I told him he could get new plates; more crying. Then he got new ones, and I put pizza on them, and he cried again. Then I let him watch Paw Patrol and he was okay till one of them drove the “wrong” truck; he cried again.

As someone who is (therapeutically) high on ketamine about every two months now, no it doesn’t. Ketamine doesn’t make you stupid.
