For my next book, on which I have been already working for a while, I’ll be studying the First Anglo-Asante War of 1823-1831. With some luck, I may even publish the book in 2031, on time for the 200th anniversary of the Cape Coast Treaty that concluded the war. #BSKyHistorians #SkyHistorians

The book is really not about pirates, but about how imperialist states used piracy as an excuse to suppress dissent and conquer lands. Having said that, I didn't come across any Bermudan pirates for the post-1825 period.

Good starting 11 IMHO. As you say, Wirtz out in particular is a good one. You bring those two and Rio in the 70th minutes and who knows.

Tell you one thing. Every team we play now will be fearing a last minute goal. I still remember when Man United had their Fergie time. It becomes a psychological thing. That’s 5 games in a row now.
