Man, the amount of times someone wants to do a perc cholecystostomy on someone in shock is mind boggling.

I have done linezolid in cns infections. I feel much better for CNS penetration than a lot of others.

I had a really bad acute strep meningitis and everyone was surprised. The patient was very sick and got better quickly so it was a cool case.

To clarify, the question is that a patient was given two doses of ivermectin prior to transplant. We are consulted bc they just transplanted them and they want to know about retreating with 4 dose protocol.

I use eosinopenia as a surrogate marker for pct and it is about as useful and the test is already ordered! I find the test pretty useless in the icu.

Oh, I have seen this and it won’t end well no matter what you use…probably. I would give olorofim maybe try inhaled ampho or other (opelconazole) if you got it. If at a place not in a trial, i would do vori/ampho/mica until you know.
