Police have always been right-wing political operatives since Day 1. Law enforcement in the US was created to track, capture, and return slaves to their 'legal' owner. They didn't become this; they were created specifically for this, i. e. Pineville Police Assoc (1823) & Forest Joe

Nope. Not that I can ascertain. Most admins are imposing zero tolerance policies - or, worse, faculty are being told in face to face meetings to stay off social media and make zero comments, "the administration will not have your back."
