Also would likely have got that contract elsewhere earlier this summer had Chansiri not spun him a false promise. Wouldn't surprise me if he'd been contemplating this for a good while and at times has cut a frustrated figure thought this season (again, don't particularly blame him)

I'd be surprised if he makes the Scotland squad given the midfielders they have, absolutely no problem with him going for one last payday/shot at the PL/cups in Scotland at 36. Had to do a lot of carrying on his back especially this year and being club captain this season must be exhausting.

I would trust Begbies' process over a politician any day of the week!

Should probably be able to persuade Chels...I mean Strasbourg to loan us back Charles until May as he won't displace Penders from their starting XI. Otherwise likely young loanees from PL clubs who just want their players to get game time. Maybe Man United send us some more?

Just seen this on Joe Crann's article 👍 www.thestar.co.uk/sport/footba...

The prospect of regular senior football and seeing Amass' development would hopefully 🤞 supersede any financial outlay. Jaden Heskey at Man City may be one we try for again as we did in the summer. MU should have enough senior cover (of debatable quality) to keep Amass out either here or elsewhere

Imagine it's just standard practice until the purchase gets sorted. @owlsonline.bsky.social will probably know on their board, lots of people in those circles who know their stuff

Good list. My outside shouts:
- Charles + Valery sold to European clubs in the summer
- new manager is one sacked by Champ team at end of season (Davies/Mason)
- Bannan to retire at end of 26/27
- stadium naming rights sold
- yellow/black away kit
- a new signing ends 2026 with Prem interest

It's good to hear one of the bidders actually speaking up with a vision rather than a lot of hearsay and speculation via socials. His mate who is involved in a multi club investment thing raised an eyebrow but at least it's some working knowledge of the game. Not as bad as I feared tbh.

Like others have said, I'd take the points hit next year and push as hard as we can (Leeds did it in 2008 and made PO final). Win the Vertu Trophy, establish a new team core, get a structure in place because this is a huge rebuild required with no shortcuts. #swfc

I think the OG deadline from the admin group was a bit too optimistic and people have fixated on that date. To be fair the valuation will have rightly put off a lot of the tyre kickers. Alao's (likely) move in Jan will ease some of the pressure a bit. Bit more short term pain for long term gain.
