I knew Jerry Yang back when we were both students and we traded links to great sites. Eventually, my link database became the basis for Yahoo Canada. No, I didn't make any money off it :(

I had the third most popular website in Canada (not saying too much in 1994). It was a Yahoo-style directory and I put a little Canadian flag beside each Canadian website and moved the Canadian sites to the top of each topic in the directory. Canadians have wanted this kind of thing for many years.
