This is what I did. Used and refurbished Pixel 9 Pro XL for like 300$ with GrapheneOS and a Framework 13 running whatever linux distro you feel like. Couldnt be happier. Only software from big companies I have left is a home theater PC with windows 10 for games and steam.

I think you're underestimating how vast the United States is. Even assuming we have actual bloody combat on US soil, half the population is never going to even be able to sniff near combat because of how spread out we are. We saw this with the American Civil War and it'd only be exacerbated today
