You don't own municipal land in OpenTTD but you can manipulate town and city growth much in the same way JR historically did it by creating stations that maximize movement of passengers within and between urban areas and allowing commercial and residential zones to build urban amenities around them.

Although that would be a really interesting challenge given how the actual JR companies built out their rail over the decades. The way they designed their expansion was that they were able to generate profit by owning and leasing land around their train stations for urban development.

Also, now that his script has thoroughly crushed the competition in terms of pure efficiency in generating profit, he wants to attempt to make an aesthetic mode that focuses on making beautiful rail networks that respect the natural topography of the map and that is definitely a JP impulse. :V

The only good thing about that episode is that Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa was briefly in it but he was an unfortunately pan-Asian caricature of a Mandarin bailiff so still not a net positive. :V

I remember the last time I visited Japan a year before the pandemic, they had a Godzilla exhibit at Teio University that I managed to attend and I saw a dessicated Zone Fighter suit and a Garoga goon helmet on display there along with a hilariously not to scale poster of G-man and the Zone kids.

It does but it's not immediately noticeable when you use it as a cooking fat, it's not as rich and it just burns more slowly so in something like a grilled cheese, it allows you to cook less meltable cheeses through before the bread toasts too dark.

The only mayo I'm positive on is Kewpie even though I think the Japanese overuse that also, every other mayo application I'm neutral or negative on. I think the one genuinely useful thing it's good for is as a more easily controlled cooking fat but it doesn't impart base flavor like butter or tallow
