That’s a College Board issue more so than a CC one, no? Also, isn’t that due to lang having an emphasis on writing, whereas lit is an emphasis on reading? Regardless, teach the kids what they need to be successful. I don’t feel like acing an AP exam is a very worthy venture or a measure of success.

School teach books…have since CCSS were adopted. I’m legitimately confused by this assertion. I have yet to see an ELA class, grades 6-12, that did not read and study entire novels throughout the year.
