While pushing the switch to EV by 2035 narative this government seems to want EVs to be as unattractive as possible. Very expensive public charging, VED added next year and now 3p per mile extra. Public charging only EV's are already more expensive to run than ICE, why buy an EV voluntarily?

Everyone will be forced to by EV eventually, it's another tax on rural living pensioners. It can cost as little as 2p per mile IF you can charge at home, so adding 3p per mile is a massive % tax. If you can't charge at home then EV's are already more expensive to run than a petrol by a big margin!

My EV switch is wrong move. With additional costs being added to EV owners I’ve done the math and it’s no worth it. Back to ICE I go. Once again the serving government con the public by enticing a switch and later pull out the rug, and we fall for it every time!

Is the Budget about to penalise EV drivers for making the switch? EV’s are expensive to buy, EV’s are expensive to run if you cannot charge at home, VED added from April, now included in London Congestion charge. With rumours of extra costs coming, why did I switch again? ICE is my next choice!

And all the time the energy compainies are making vast profits off the consummer by linking to the highest gas price on the market, maximising the difference between cheaper renewables, (or touted as such with such great aplomb). It's a massive con at our expense.
