Just in case you aren’t being rhetorical… it’s because the sort of mind that MAGA attracts also feeds on identifying “others” for whom they can be mad at, express anger towards, or be generally victimized by. They literally THRIVE on pointing their fingers and feeling victimized.

He unironically uses all these non US countries as examples. He is sort of reminding us what makes America Great; not illegal immigration, but a time when legal immigration was sort of our thing. We’re great BECAUSE of immigrants, not in spite of them! That is our legacy!!

He did not explicitly say he would ignore the Geneva Convention rules. He did however imply “the rules of engagement” were politically correct and would not be followed. IMHO, those rules were largely established by the Geneva convention.

That’s not the point of fascism. That is in fact the opposite. They have removed the rules for them, while increasing them on the rest of us.

Absolutely, but for Hegseth to say beforehand max lethality free from “politically correct” (well established rules) rules of engagement makes this premeditated. He said he would ignore the Geneva convention rules & ignore American values.
He should be punished to extreme for this.
