It was tough for me starting out too, that's why I recommend the TG group - if you can hang out with a few people you knew from before the event it'll generally make networking easier. But now I just go up to random people and ask "what are you building?" works every time

- Just attend a few to start with, don't speak yet
- Have a goal (expand network, get clients/devs, learn new tech, find job?)
- Join a TG group of people who are going & talk to a few beforehand
- Go to side events
- Everyone wants to network, don't feel weird starting a convo with someone
