The same mental and moral failings make him incapable of recognizing that fact and if stepping down. He should be removed from office.

Please help me.

I would LOVE to learn that a previous President had been equally hostile to the First Amendment and we survived it. Who else denounced the press as evil, called on government regulators to shut down opposition news outlets, and sued the news for vast sums over baseless issues?

That's a great idea -- we should all be boycotting "x". And as of this week we should all be boycotting Tiktok too for the same reason.

Honestly, I thought the clarity of the spec was top notch for a still-being-invented language. Maybe be comfortable applying effort to figuring out what you want to do with strings and garbage collection instead of tightening up what's already pretty good in the spec!

The way is is phrased now makes me think that if you index something with an i8 and the array length is at least 256 that maybe you WON'T get an out-of-bounds error. (And I presume you DO intend to get on in that circumstance, right?)

"Negative indices, when used with signed integer types, result in out-of-bounds errors because they represent large unsigned values when converted.". I think you should take out everything from the word "because". [continued]

I was intrigued enough to go take a look at Rue. I have minor feedback while reading through the language specification. In rue-lang.dev/spec/08-runt... it says: [continued]

You made me stop and really pay attention to the line. Without that I would still have noticed the reference to courting Leah and the phrase "wilderness of monkeys", but I would never have thought so deeply about it. Beautiful.

If you'll indulge my curiosity, which AI tools are you using for this exercise?

Oh... Yes. Makes sense.

Auditing, right?

Seriously, that was one of the main points of Star Trek: they depicted a society in which we had moved beyond issues like race (showing staff officers of various races working together was a complete innovation when it was released), and capitalism (they have a post-money society).

Or perhaps dump them in a nearby harbor to remind people of how we got ourselves rid of Kings in the first place!

... At the end of the article you point out that creating or watching content with this aesthetic tweaks the algorithm that drives social media attention. You may be right, but as an avowed feminist, I will strongly defend people's right to create and watch such content. Even though I dislike it.

I have always viewed the fight for feminism defending the right of women (AND men) to be independent professionals, married homemakers, or whatever else they want to make of their lives. Which means I'm in favor of letting people do the "tradwife" thing if they want to. (continued)

Nice essay.

To answer your closing question: no, I am NOT remaining silent. But I DO worry that my mere words are not enough. I am not certain what else I should do.

The truth is, when I hear an influencer -- or a friend or colleague -- say the words "I was wrong" I do NOT lose trust in them. In fact, my trust INCREASES when I hear those words.

I think that many on the right have stopped treating statements as true or false, reasonable or unreasonable, ethical or unethical -- instead paying attention only to the direction of the sentiment.

I find it deplorable: to me, meaning what you say is sacred.

The organization that Democrats funded prior to Donald Trump's second term was not a secret police of badgeless, masked thugs who snatched people off the streets with impunity.
