Mad blue Loss Adjuster dealing with big fires and floods. SW based but from L12 originally.
Even if I do get tix in the ballot, my lad is only just 12, so by 10pm he's dozing off, and loses interest. Then a long walk, then a drive through traffic. Back to my mum's by 11pm? Sat night footie sucks ass. But mainly all of those multiple visits to various family and friends all need changing.

I was only working out complex visiting/Xmas arrangements with family yesterday. Now all in tatters!

I think I used to get £11.50 per Saturday. I loved it, but I missed some of EFCs best ever matches. It was the Autumn and Winter of 1984/5.

My first Saturday job was in Top Man there. Spent most of my time trying to stop scallies nicking stuff.

In over 50 years of going the game, the ONLY time I can remember hanging around afterwards was when we'd won championships, or other celebratory occasions. Maybe a few minutes at the end of season game.

He is acting like this is the only time a decision like that has ever been made. Those thinking it should've been given have a point, as we felt with Jake's goal last week, but that's the way the rules are being implemented, and have been for quite a while.

Kid next door to you has been looking for his pet tortoise for hours now.

Sky debating it endlessly when we O'brien header disallowed for the same reason last week with barely a whimper from the media.

I'd love to take my mum (87) but she can't walk far either. But with the number of options available, it's garbage that they haven't found a better answer.

Where do you get the shuttle bus to? I park in the capital building NCP. Less than half hour walk. Getting vehicular traffic from near the ground is a nightmare. They need to set up vehicles only/pedestrians only routes.

Pity you can't ring John and ask him. Bet he wishes it was Beto with that gun.

Lennon was Oxford Street, like me.

One thing's for certain, we should absolutely be beating the barcodes in a few weeks. They're really not very good.
November 9, 2025 at 3:41 PM
The 2nd one probably wasn't a pen. Game's gone.
November 9, 2025 at 3:39 PM
Honestly, they really should sack off VAR, except for the goal line. It adds nothing positive. That 2nd decision probably should've been overturned as well.
November 9, 2025 at 3:37 PM
I'm flummoxed, I tell you. It's a clear trip. But because VAR are now trying not to overturn decisions, they BS it by saying not enough contact? And the lad still gets booked? Ffs. Standard of officiating is so poor.

In my defence, and in defence of all defensive responses, when one isn't certain of someone's intentions, it's hard not to be defensive. I used to play in defence.

And now it looks like Tommy Fleetwood is going to win the golf. What if the ladies win, too, and the RS lose?

They'd be too middle-of-the-road for Peel, God rest him. He'd be playing The Bipolar Blues on his weekend show.

To be fair, English, like most languages, is so mutable that attempts by linguists over the centuries to control it or standardise it have proved rather futile. I adopt a common sense accuracy approach in work, but in 200 years, much of what we consider as standard now will have gone forever.

Dull stuff to the outside world, multi-million pound insurance claims, but requiring a lot of detail.
November 9, 2025 at 8:08 AM
Not in formal usage, no. But in social media posts folks can do what they like. I'm not grammar police here, but in my professional life I have to be.
