CA is just one of our 50 states and special territories (plus DC). So going it alone to tax billionaires - when it's already a high tax, high cost of living state - defies common sense and economic theory (price competition). It won't help the state and risks chasing away its business, rich folks.

He most certainly has "done harm" to people. And he's certainly not qualified for the position, nor faithful to his oath to "Serve the People" so I'm with Haley. Thank you, Congresswoman Stevens. And if you have a child that you wonder about vaccinating, consult the best sources of sound info.

If you had a driver's license but ran over people and killed bunches, then you would probably lose your driver's licence. But, you qualify for your Medical Degree (MD) and you turn into a conspiracy theory spinner who is "doing harm" to people, you still have a license to be a physician? Shame.

Thirty years as a government employee - I can assure you that deleting ANY official document (evidence in a crime or a signed letter or bill) is a federal crime. Clear to me that the USG officials who are editing the documents need to be very careful to do it legally.

100 with you Mayor-elect Mamdani. May I caution you to beware a trap progressives have fallen into? It's not about just spending the money to "give things" to people. That would belie everything we know about economics and politics. Two things matter. Give equal opportunity and equal justice.

Come to think of the lies and failure to fulfill their oath to the serve Americans - is there anything that our politicos have not corrupted? Just read that in states that legalized sports gambling, bankruptcy filings have increased by 28% (the Week) in just two years. That's thousands of folks.

Republican opposition to cost controls have made the ACA what it is - a high cost subsidy of care for the poor. But, it's pretty similar to the for-profit health insurance most of us get. So why not fix the whole system and limit profits? - the way they do in every civilized country except one.

It's more transactional. RFK jr rants how scientific researchers and labs are beholden to the drug companies that fund their work. Ten years in college and apprenticeships working for peanuts - but they are accused of chasing only money. RFKjr makes his money from his rants. Millions. Better?

Do you think William Thompson is qualified to oversee research on health and vaccines? He has no medical or research degree. Why not do it yourself? Just take a Ouiji board to your favorite chair and you can make all those determinations just as well.

Really admire the way you make a clear distinction between vertical morality and horizontal morality. Something about homo sapiens that allows the incautious to jump on board the "all powerful and all encompassing" God as if it absolves from duty to "love thy neighbors."
