Today and tomorrow the Water & Natural Resources Committee is meeting to finish our interim work and prepare for the upcoming legislative session.
Topics include climate change, solar energy, the Strategic Water Reserve, PFAS, local agriculture, and proposed legislation.

I enjoyed Indigenous Peoples' Day in Albuquerque's beautiful Tiguex Park.
In the Legislature, I supported the recognition of Indigenous Peoples' Day as a state holiday.

The Committee endorsed my bill to fine tune the Land Grant Assistance Fund, which was created by legislation I sponsored (HB 8, 2022) to create a permanent funding source for Land Grant communities.
