Switching to mono was a huge improvement in the image quality but added more time than I could realistically capture. Rho is rarely above 15’ here, and if it is? The hills are in the way. 🤬☠️

I gave up trying to image from western Pennsylvania and sent my gear to a remote observatory. Even shifting to F2 wasn’t enough to capture viable data at home. It made all the difference.

Dolphin is hella hot this year. Almost to the same level as WR134 was last year. I’m still processing my data on it, will end up with close to 50hrs from my RASA8.

Rust belt life in the 80s… a lot of the factories in the area were already shutting down, the mines were one of the only options left if you didn’t move away for college or military service.
