A smartly built, multi-use stadium could anchor a great new era for that part of town. Add a city athletic complex and medium density market rate housing that takes advantage of the waterfront.

Navy Yard and Wharf are great examples.

Oh good. This has been keeping me up at night.

Now about those fascists about to take over...

Astute observation about Bluesky and Threads. I’d been feeling that but hadn’t put my finger on why. I went full out building my Bluesky a month ago to compare to Threads. It’s great here. But yes, mostly experts. A bit intense. I still enjoy opening threads and connecting w a more chill vibe.

It’s just one banana, Michael. How much could it be? $10?

Great to see! It’s Biergarten and Brine properties outlined on the map, tho. RnR is next property west. Hope it gets revitalized as well. Been empty five years in February.

I have a sense that Trump picked RFK as a chaos agent to distract attention from his intended actions elsewhere, such as misusing the FBI.

FDIC insures bank deposits, which regular folks have. And billionaires don’t.

Perfectly on brand for the government of billionaires for billionaires. Remove all the consumer and environmental protections.

See how many dollars it takes to get 1,600 calories in the produce aisle vs the soda aisle. Because the government subsidizes corn and wheat but not carrots and apples.

Seems more like an indictment of the media rather than Bluesky. The dude nominates his son’s girlfriend as ambassador to Greece. But it’s the Bluesky peeps who are in the echo chamber. Sure, Jan.

Who are we raising our voices to? Why fill ourselves with anger at the news if no Dems in Washington seem to be capable of doing anything about it. All those investigations, the indictments, the felony convictions…all just folded when he won.

Loved San Diego's beaches (Mission, Pacific, La Jolla), when I visited a few months ago, but was disappointed at the sad, '70s-style downtown waterfront. Cool-ish neighborhoods about five blocks from the water, separated by a no-man's land of parking, rail and industrial blight/decay.

Half the stores there are empty, so really Amtrak had its pick.

Trump’s first impeachment was for blackmailing Zelensky to fabricate accusations against Hunter. The pardon is meant to forestall more shit like that.

I popped this on one evening last week, liking both the premise and Ted Danson. Four hours later, my wife and I finished binging the entire thing. So good.

It’s the business side of medicine that’s broken, not the science side. Why can’t we have a bomb thrower target insurance companies?
