I know. What I should have said is there are more republican voters than democrat. Texas doesn't require party registration so any affiliation percentages are estimates. Clearly the population votes R more.

4 of the last 5 governors since 1979 have been republican with only 1 democrat for a single term in the early 90s. I'd call that reliably republican.

While true, the senate, governor, and AG races are not subject to gerrymandering and are pretty reliably republican. The truth is there are still more registered R than D. Hoping this midterm surprises us though.

I agree. I think she would be an outstanding senator. I just dont think the climate is right in texas for her to win. I DO believe she can win another House race, even with the gerrymandering. She is an incredible asset, I don't want to see her on the sidelines.

It was 100% using stereotypes as the humor. This wasn't All In The Family or Blazing Saddles where the bigotry is being lampooned, this was stereotyping people and making the characterization the comedy.

The maker's choices in how to portray the only two minorities in central roles is problematic. Then they decided to double down by making the only black primary character stereotypically gay. Not just gay, but outlandishly flamboyant. There was no attempt at satire, it wasn't mocking bigotry.

I disagree. To me the saddest part is all the maga chuds celebrating it like it actually means anything.

Yeah. I watched it as a teen and missed a lot of it. Saw it years later and got hot right in the face with all of it. Its definitely not worth watching again.

I think you can also mention the exposure of a child to sexual materials. And maybe the pedophilia of one of the main characters. And let's not forget the massive bigotry of every type. Just saying.
