Proud nerd . love comics, Doctor Who, Twin Peaks and Bowie.
50 and awaiting death or retirement- whichever comes first!
I struggle with audio books because of hearing problems (have to fully concentrate and even then have to keep pausing and rewinding so it is ao frustrating) so wish the original stories had print releases too as I would happily add them to my collection

Fenric (extended version makes it a 10/10 Dr Who story)
Remembrance
Greatest Show
Paradise Towers
Ghost Light

(Happiness Patrol narrowly missed out, I am buying standard edition blu ray so wonder if the new edit will push it up)

I've bought Spearhead from Space 5 times and will be buying it a 6th time when the s7 standard edition blu ray is released and I am sure every other fan my age can say the same (I would love to see collection sets covering the 21st century seasons too)

Amazes me there weren't more comic book covers especially during the wilderness years, browsed the league of comicgeeks website and found the 80's issue I half remembered 😁

Definitely last full cover, I am not sure if my memory is cheating but I seem to recall a cover with John Ridgeway art on it , very surprising though considering how many painted covers we have had

Loved this issue

I picked up my monthly stack and grabbed Superman 396 to 399 , Cap 282 plus Thor 273 (only have 4 more in the 270's to find then my Thor collection is complete from now back to 200).

Pyramids of Mars- I was 10 when we got a video for xmas'84 were allowed by my Dad to rent a video each weekend, I always chose one of the small handful of Dr Who's but picked this twice as often & would watch it repeatedly so my Dad ended up spending the £40 to buy it reasoning that was cheaper!

Androzani is a good story but in s21 Awakening & Frontios are better stories/productions (Warriors is also a better story but let down by cheap it looks)

I have always found myself out of step with fandom and am fine with that, the worst sin a story can commit is to bore me.
Also my very unpopular opinion is that Doctor Who is meant to be fun and camp

Love that cover

Mine too, very jealous of these pics !

Walt Simonson FF (seems overshadowed by his Thor and Byrne's FF), he just gets them right as a family and its a fun scifi tinged run (Marvel should do a trade as think people enjoying FF now would enjoy it)

Great illustration for one of my favourite books

I mostly lurk when the sleep disorder kicks in and it's 3am and I'm alert 😁

I think the animation works really well with this fun story too, I seem to be out of sync with most of my fellow older fans as it's the dull stories that go bottom of my lists not the barmy fun camp ones like this.

Unfortunately we got no repeats here in UK in late 80's (we used to get 2 stories repeated in summer but this had stopped by '85 - I assume because the show was disliked by Grade) so having a video was such a wonderful thing

I was 10 when it aired and was the first year we had a video, I was allowed two 3 hour tapes so had Attack and Revelation on one and 2 drs on the other, needless to say I rewatched then constantly so have a real soft spot for this series

One of my favourite stories from the last few years
