So after season 3 they had to have her do things like run for city council. Get offered to run the National Park Service and allow her to move that office from Chicago to Pawnee all plot lines that did not really add to the show.

After the peaks of the show in season 2 and season 3, there was the obvious question of why someone as competent as Leslie Knope, the #2 at a small town's Parks and Rec department?

After poor reviews of the first season which she was called a female Michael Scott. They changed up the character where some of the naivety was still there, but she became this hyper competent character which made the show more enjoyable but made the show make a lot less sense.

They do that in Europe for soccer so it makes sense they also do that for Baseball. Americans generally do not care for international competition and our major sports are not that global so they do not really bother.

I think they are referring more to when there are rumors of academy products possibly leaving. Like it would hurt more if Alexander-Arnold leaves over if Van Dijk or Salah leaves .
