Far from perfect, but this manuscript hopefully continues to shift the field's conversation on marginalized people's experiences and activism/solidarity toward a critical lens that afford them full humanity while acknowledging historical injustices. 5/6

The paper ends with a discussion of how our framework meets stigma-based solidarity and intersectionality, along with applications for education and activism. 4/6

Incorporating work on intraminority relations, collective action, and strength-based research, we posit that recognizing shared strengths can confer unique benefits (relative to shared discrimination) that ultimately lead to holistic and sustained solidarity efforts. 3/6
