ICE arrested a parent near Eastwood Elementary School last Monday. Teachers and parents have been patrolling the neighborhood every morning since.

Not AmeriCorps, but my husband’s work had a client, 19 years old, out of foster care with no family, who was set to enter a JobCorps program to apprentice in welding. The funding was eliminated, and he had to start over on a plan for his future. So much for supporting blue collar jobs.
