I'll keep up the Dark Iron trend with my own. Hathgerda Coaltongue, aka the Salamander. An embersilk mogul warlock with a grudge against the Twilight's Hammer and the Firelands in general.

RPPVP events always tend to bring out the weirdest things. They can be fun if everyone is chill, but people are so rarely all chill.

I don't think Blizzard fully grasps the sheer number of Void Elf Demon Hunters using the hair over the eye style that will result if they don't give both them and Blood Elves at least a few new styles. I should know, I'll likely be one of them.

I experienced the "if they're Gilnean, how are they black?" thing years ago with an OC. It's always the people who claim to just care about lore, but conveniently forget the lore's supported it long before we got the customization options. Not that it needs lore support to be justified, ofc.

My guess is that we'll access the latter two zones from Quel'thalas the same way we get to the Ringing Deeps via the Coreway. Fly down a nature magic tunnel for one, and up into the Voidstorm for the other. "Seamless" in either direction, in theory anyway.

Oribos does tend to have that effect on people.

Since we're limited to one per faction for now, I think Alliance side will need to be the sanctums of one of my mages, either classic human wizard lair or dwarf sorceress style, with rooms for other OCs. And then the Horde one will be for my Blood Elf mage.

I have a lot of mages...

Liadrin was a priestess of the Light before becoming a Blood Knight, and Lightwielders tend to stave off aging. Lor'themar is also not only older but has zero real magic, and has thrown down with multiple demigods in the last few decades. He's got to be flat out worn down.

I would take a Shadowlands remix if only to get my hands on the soulshapes and cosmetics still walled behind an ungodly amount of rep and/or currency grinds.

The goal is to taunt tauren paladins with the idea that Sunwalkers will get lore again, and night elves into thinking they'll get paladins.

It always baffles me how skilled Blizzard is at creating more unique and visually striking aesthetics and concepts, only to practically never keep them maintained for longer than... an xpac, at absolute most.

Ok but have you considered they were both blond blue-eyed men with long hair?? Practically the same person!

Banking, booking plane tickets, and buying things online are computer activities only, not to be done via the phone. I will not use the apps, I refuse.

You can see the Tyrande and Velen art is still used, but I believe those are the last holdouts, since their short stories didn't really have usable art at the time.
mduskstorm.bsky.social
It's because some are from Wei Wang's race lineup art in Wrath, and then the rest are from the various art done for the Cata prequel short stories each race got. Originally the load screens were all from the former, minus gobs and worgen, but for some reason they replaced some of them later on.

It's mostly faction war in general (very Jaina focused), debating about the moral standing of the Alliance. I don't think any of them actually like WoW at all at this point, they're like vengeful haunting shades of keyboard warriorisms.
mduskstorm.bsky.social
I wish people discussed SL, it's faction war 'debates' all the way down on the Story Forums, I had to abandon them. You have a small group of hyperfixated people spamming thread topics all the time, even unrelated threads have them bring up faction war.
mduskstorm.bsky.social
No one was punished, true, I assume because the writers kind of realized if Jaina was punished for her antagonism then proportionally there would be a lot of characters on worse chopping blocks. My hot take is her story should have ended when she summoned the fleet.
mduskstorm.bsky.social
It always makes me laugh how they gave Jaina and Tyrande the most inflammatory language of all the "grittier" Alliance characters, meanwhile the men are shoving the mountains of Horde corpses they created off to the side so that they can talk about peace.

All it does is remind me that for some reason we still don't have a giant eagle mount (which would cover the Amani). Not a phoenix, not a raven, just a big eagle like what the Highmountain have. Hell, we don't even have a normal owl mount yet, which is a fantasy staple.

Maybe the eye DID regenerated but it looked blinded and he didn't correct people who assumed it was. Imagine how many assassins he could have tricked that way, each one trying to sneak into the blind spot he didn't actually have. Genius.

Wolf-themed orc lady shaman is an S-tier concept. Definitely not biased due to having one myself, nope.

Whenever I want to get into the mindset of writing a knightly OC, I listen to the in-movie version of 'United We Stand' on loop. This song was also one big reason my first WoW character was a Druid.

It would definitely give him some agency instead of dying because the Alliance attacked and his new loa undercut him and gave him too much power. Also would have prevented the weird choice to have Jaina teleport from the fleet to T-pose menacingly over the city when she didn't even fight him...
