I was 14 when this came out. I had all sorts of repressed, unresolved gender issues. The video for this song was a gut punch. The scene where he's leaving his house and his dad scowls at him haunted me. It struck me as the type of reaction you could expect if you were not cis hetero.

I began hrt at 48, but still lived as a guy for 2-3 years after I started. It wasn't until after the covid lock down that I was comfortable enough to socially transition in public. I thought that is be hideous, but I turned out ok & am finally comfortable in my own skin. DM if you want to chat.

I spent almost 50 years as a short, "not conventionally attractive" guy. Trust me when I say, it wasn't the end of the world. I dated, married, and was treated like any other guy. You'd be surprised how powerful T is (and how much better you'll feel on it). It's not too late to start.
