Ehm, what did I miss now? 😳

The thing is though that if things don’t stop deteriorating, there will be no place left to go to.

Well, we can stop doing it. I tried to point out that people in the EU and other allies who vote for classical parties and stick to democratic world-view are by no means enjoying the situation. If you prefer to insist that they are gloating, there is little chance for me to convince you otherwise.

Hugsies 🤗
March 3, 2025 at 1:25 PM
Yes, to an extent. Gloating is mostly being done by those who would support Trump-like politicians in their countries, all those against NATO and EU and rule-based (maritime) world. That’s expected. The rest is absolutely horrified to see their world-order to crack up in front of their eyes.

I wonder at the perception that the rest of the democratic world is gloating. Your allies are horrified, not gloating. It stops being funny when we speak of break down of trans-Atlantic alliances, which took decades to build. Succumbing to pressures of the axis China-Russia-Iran-NKorea spells wars.

They’ll probably have an AI for that. Or they will go mad.
March 3, 2025 at 1:03 PM
There’s to hope that never wanes!

I wish though that the joke had subtitles for the less sophistiqué among us. 🙈

What a cutie pie! 😀 Happy birthday!

At no point did I say that the way to go would be privileging young men again. But this discussion is mute when my opponent argues their own point instead of the one that is proposed. (Straw Man argument much?)

I have no doubt, democratic governments are not voted in by all of the population. If it were otherwise, we would live in a dictatorship. Still, current administration has been voted in fair and square. Let’s hope that the backlash is sufficient for the administration to tread more carefully.

Absolutely true! Just when and how we could speed up the process.
March 2, 2025 at 8:02 PM
At no point did I say or in any way suggested that misogyny was ok. I certainly don’t think so. Your annoyance with the points I’m trying to make is baffling. If you don’t wish to engage with me, then don’t. It’s that simple.

That’s not at all what I’m saying. Of course this cannot be the solution. I just wish the resentment of the other gender could be mitigated. Because if it’s not, we are in for more red pill content and possibly escalation. Can this be in anyone’s interest?
March 2, 2025 at 7:57 PM
Wow, that’s a charming exhibit of fine and rational conversation.
March 2, 2025 at 7:53 PM
I’m not at all ok with status quo being unfair to women. However, the situation of women has been improving as this article seems to show. I’m concerned at lack of bridge-building between genders. The communication is often hostile and resentment is building up. This cannot be good for either of us.
March 2, 2025 at 7:52 PM
The point is not whether I’m wrong or right, you know. The point is how the younger generation of men might perceive it. And I don’t think that leaving that perception to fester is in anyone’s interest. Not that I would know how to deal with it on the grand scale of things, tbh.
March 2, 2025 at 7:47 PM
I’m not saying that this isn’t true, but letting it out on one particular generation might feel unfair to those experiencing it. I’m only saying that we live side-by-side with these people, and I better be safe than sorry, tbh.
