It is basically you putting money into an account with them. The money then becomes available to you for whatever you need it for. Same when you need to open another account in another currency - you need to transfer 20 into that account to open it.

Yes this is correct. You also need to do the same thing if you want to open another currency account (for those who may need an account in another currency - which might be useful for people who might want to charge USD or EUR or GBP etc)
