That's fair I suppose, I've never had the personal experience of that kind of targeted abuse. While I don't think that was the intention of the bit, I can understand how it feels from the perspective of someone who has been on the other end of said abuse.

Since you did mention you heard about the joke secondhand I'm afraid you may have received the worst possible reading of it, as I didn't even consider that it could be a dig at trans people when I watched it. That's not usually their style at least.

I feel the joke is more about awkward con interactions with that one person who doesn't understand personal space/consent. I think anyone who frequents cons has seen or at least knows someone who's had that interaction.
