Love this from @benstiller.redhour.com. Variety and NYT published stories today that framed SINNERS, which just scored the highest grossing opening weekend for an original movie since Jordan Peele's pre-pandemic US, as a pyrrhic box office victory. This stinks. Who's being served here?

This is in response to Variety running a story questioning the eventual profitability of SINNERS, which just opened to $61 million against a $90 million budget.
