Usage note: “He relentlessly depicts Democrats as allied with a vast, inchoate class of violent criminals and insurrectionists operating in every shadow of American life.”

Inchoate means nascent, emerging, being born. The example above shows the common error of using it as a synonym for “vague.”

I find it tricky to cook with sesame oil. It’s so strong and can turn bitter in a heartbeat. It takes practice to get the amount and timing right.

I was at a large firm that got raided and shut down for financial fraud. Turns out the board of directors was a box with name stamps in it.
