At a time when the US is going to haemorrhage talent we are still obsessing over numbers. This govt is repeatedly displaying signs that it hasn't woken up to the new reality. We should be treating this moment as an opportunity to become the No1 destination for overseas students and scientists.

This to me is the saddest customer. As if universities weren’t in enough trouble, last year Albany purchased $200 million of fool’s gold… this is gonna be a painful story to revisit in ten years.
