I’m quite irritated with people who think at almost age 60 I owe them an official DX. They are telling me the profession that was still doing lobotomies when I was a child, and only recently started DXing adults is the source of truth. Not available for most of my life but suddenly I owe it?

I prefer to say it has disabilities. Everyone has different things associated with it. It can also come with gifts. Trying to say those gifts are independent is problematic.

Never mention anything truly interesting unless they are stoned. Suddenly they are allowed to be interested in real things for a short while. Life, existence, the universe, as soon as the weed wears these are considered taboo.

I would assume deep sea mining would be much worse. Land based mining can be inspected to a degree by anyone. Anyone can take a water sample downstream. Not deep sea

Atypical cystic fibrosis symptoms. A dozen doctors including TWO geneticists and THREE teaching hospitals failed. I saw a risk in a DNA sequence, googled signs and symptoms recognized them as present.

$100,000 a month in cloud fees for something that could have been easily run under Rust on a raspberry PI.

We are still accepting the “throw hardware at it” attitudes of the .com days. Save a bit on software development by using easier languages, but pay 10x in cloud and IT salaries.

Talk to a data recovery place a reformat is not necessarily complete. They should pay for it as they should have backed it up prior to upgrade!
