E2: the southern hero clearing a path for Himmel’s party was a cool bit of context for their journey, but I also liked how he was yet another example of a character ‘wiser’ than Frieren in some form despite being nowhere close to her age.

which makes it a bit of a shock when he seems to have already made up his mind not to! His decision makes sense both for his character and the story, which made me wonder why so much buildup at all… I think to help put us in Fern’s shoes before she talks to him. she probably saw all the same ‘clues’

E1: looking back, soo much of this episode’s second half was building up to if Stark would leave the party or not (the talk with Frieren about how things get awkward, him getting along with Wirbel, even Sein being brought up to remind you that established party members can just leave)

imo the first option with only the 3 (radial menu?) feels better for RPGs because you can select options quicker on turns where you don't need to spend time strategizing; you could maybe fit more than 3 options by 'rotating' the menu to a different set when a key is pressed

My therapist’s main job is art therapy; even though I’ve never done art therapy proper with her yet, she has been great to talk to about burnout and doing creative work online (probably because she’s an artist too)
