At bare minimum, they'll face dishonorable discharges. I hope that obeying unlawful orders was worth ruining their lives over.

I hope that every soldier that participated in this bullshit understands that when we take back the House, the Senate, AND the White House, they are going to have to answer for it at their court-martials, because that's exactly what's going to happen.

but I also do hope that we get more stuff like Badlands. I love that risks are being taken, even if they don't always pay off.

Yeah, I appreciate Dan Trachtenberg going off the beaten path, but even he has to understand that you can't do that for long before giving us another film that's more in line with what fans expect from Predator. I do expect to see more Predator movies that are as hardcore as the original two,

some more insight and exploration of Yautja culture, and I like the dynamic between Dek and Thia. I would like to see more of those two, but in a movie that's a bit more serious. I can certainly understand why people weren't on board with it. It has problems, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Honestly, I loved the fact that the movie was so very different than what we got before. It took some big swings. Granted, not all of them landed. I think for folks who are looking for a more "traditional" Predator film, this was never going to fit the bill. I got what I wanted out of it with

In all seriousness, though, the last really great movie that Cameron made was Terminator 2.

I think an argument could be made for Titanic, but I think that's when Cameron started to change his focus when it came to making movies. Otherwise, it would've been True Lies. At least, in my opinion.
December 9, 2025 at 7:22 AM
Cameron was at the height of his powers between 1984 and 1995. Terminator, Aliens, The Abyss, Terminator 2, True Lies. It was Titanic that set him in a different direction. I loved Titanic, but it was clear that the guy that made The Terminator invariably changed. At least his priorities did.

It's only one of the best RPGs of the last 12 years. That is an absolute steal, especially with all the DLC. Good snag!

news media stations through the Ellisons, hence that nasty letter that Paramount's lawyers sent Zaslav. I don't want Netflix owning WB, but I don't want Paramount having it, either.
December 5, 2025 at 8:23 AM
Considering the regulatory bar that Netflix would have to jump over to get this whole thing approved, and there's no guarantee that it will, this administration could stop this deal dead in its tracks, simply because Orange Leader didn't get what he wanted, which was control of WB-owned
December 5, 2025 at 8:23 AM
which could put a kibosh on the whole thing. I do NOT want Paramount getting a hold of WB, not with their current political connections, and especially not after that hypocritical letter they sent to Zaslav.
December 5, 2025 at 8:15 AM
If Netflix promises to leave WB intact as its own entity and ability to distribute movies, I think it could be MOSTLY fine. The problem though is that I don't trust Netflix to keep their end of the bargain. On top of that, the Ellisons are likely to run to Daddy Trump to intervene with his DOJ.
December 5, 2025 at 8:15 AM
For the most part, you're right, but considering the political connection the Ellisons have with the Orange Regime, he might just have the DOJ go after this deal, because he didn't get what he wanted.
December 5, 2025 at 7:04 AM
This. If Netflix promises to let WB be WB and operate that way, I don't really see this as a negative. The problem: I don't necessarily trust Netflix to keep their side of the bargain. Still, it's a better option than Paramount, considering the Ellisons' connection to the current administration.
December 5, 2025 at 5:47 AM
hurdle that this merger would have to get over in order to avoid any antitrust situation, and considering who runs the DOJ right now, I'm not entirely sure that this would be allowed. At all, which is hypocritical because the Paramount Skydance merger was allowed.
December 5, 2025 at 5:30 AM
Honestly, I'd rather let Netflix have WB than the Ellisons, simply because of their blatant connection to the current administration. I'll be honest: I'm not entirely certain that this thing will go through. Netflix's going to take on even more debt, but at the same time, there's a huge regulatory
December 5, 2025 at 5:30 AM
I feel that anything that's a big fuck you to Larry and David Ellison is also a big fuck you to Donald Trump. But there's no guarantee that the shareholders will even approve the merger. Also, Trump and his DOJ will do everything in their power to kibosh the whole thing.
December 5, 2025 at 5:08 AM
If I'm being honest: I'd rather Netflix get WB than Paramount at this point. That letter that Paramount Skydance sent to David Zaslav was incredibly hypocritical. I have my concerns about Netflix, as I'd rather Comcast/Universal have WB. Time's going to tell if this is a good idea or not, but

If we show up in numbers to big to be disputed, no amount of gerrymandering is going to help them win.

Let him run. He'll lose in the biggest landslide in Minnesota history.

3+ hour movies that I want to see in theaters. I'm a huge fan of James Cameron, but I miss the guy that gave us The Terminator, The Abyss, and True Lies. I miss THAT James Cameron.
