Current read, ‘All We Have Is Time’ by Amy Tordoff. About 70% in and I can’t stop reading this book about an immortal woman and a time traveler, but I also have no idea how this is going to play out and I’m hella nervous!

Details of kimono quilt

While living in Japan from 2010-2014, a close friend gifted me with several kimono! I had them in a storage box that I moved with from Japan to Vermont to California and to Maryland, but had no real way to display or wear them. A friend’s daughter made them into a quilt for me!

Of Monsters and Mainframes by Barbara Truelove was so delightful! I thought the description not-so-cozy was apt! It was definitely full of monsters, and there were several gory deaths, but also uplifting? Highly recommend!

Happy anniversary to us! @sdressler.bsky.social and I are celebrating by seeing friends and loved ones in San Francisco!

In the air, flying to San Francisco seemed like a good time to read ‘Lessons in Magic and Disaster’ by Charlie Jane Anders. About a third of the way through and Jamie is expressing so many things I feel are capital T True. Wanting for yourself is so important.

Starting ‘Lies and Dolls’ by Nev Fountain. Jackie is in it and my dread is amped up after just the first chapter!

Cheese of the moment: Snapdragon from Tulip Tree Farms
The description said “spicy, creamy, decadent” and it is. Way spicier than I thought, but super yummy!

From #Netgalley, currently reading ‘Toni and Addie Go Viral’ on my Kindle. The real fantasy here is the speed at which Toni gets an $800K 2 book deal after a bidding war. I mean…damn!

‘We Shall Be Monsters’ by Tara Sim is another example of a book I’m glad I didn’t give up on because the second half was 🔥!
Also, normally I am not a fan of books with dogs or children (weird, I know), but Kutaa, the undead dog, was perfect, a very good dog.

At the dentist talking books with my hygienist. I asked if she minded if I listened to an audiobook while she cleaned my teeth. She asked what I was reading, and told me she loved everything by @christinahenry.bsky.social She had a sleeve dedicated to her Alice series!

Req. from Edelweiss, ‘A Match Made is Hell’ by Charlotte Ingham was so good, I was late to work (I am the manager) because I was sucked in so thoroughly! Read at lunch and after work, I accidentally left my Kindle behind and had to RETURN TO WORK to get it because I needed to finish!
