Looking back on it—absolutely, the writing sensibilities we were looking for in a relatively niche circle meant we had the worst of both worlds, picky in a small pond

But we managed, and other groups that tried doing the same thing died out

It does make me thankful I quit though, if this sample size says anything about the current crop of people doing fight threads
