Chocolatier, shop owner, marketing consultant. If a muse was a goblin…that’d be me.
There are no signs of smoke on the interior walls or ceiling of Newgrange.

I was fortunate enough to get to spend a few minutes entirely alone in Newgrange several years ago; it was a rainy November day and the tour guide walked off to smoke and told me not to break the 5,000 year-old structure.

NEVER the hand. One of the most aggravating and persistent tropes in fiction.

They had no idea how to market this film. The trailers read “romantic comedy in a kaiju world.” It’s a dark and sophisticated film that taps deep into the roots of the symbolism of Godzilla.

If you loved Secret of Kells, don’t miss Song of the Sea. One of the most beautiful pieces of storytelling and art in existence.

I was just talking about this. It’s just a normal sales day now. Maybe worse, because they obviously jack up the prices before Black Friday so the percentages off are meaningless.

In another life, I volunteered on a benevolence committee at a Christian church. If a request for aid WAS approved, the aid came along with someone telling you how to do better. Included having to show all of your expenses, a home visit, and explanations of how you got in a position to need help.

The only value is what they make up and agree to (which they call “shareholder value”). Which inevitably balloons and crashes because it’s not real. The board gets wiped clean, the government cuts a check, and they each get dealt a new starting hand for the next version of the game.

Really well-written article. When the difference between the top “earners” and the median income becomes as vast as it is today, the sale of goods and services has no impact on the valuation of the wealthiest people/businesses. So of course they don’t care about it.

Seriously. Elected officials should have to wear the logos of every major contributor, like a NASCAR driver.

I didn’t expect Continuum to be the most relevant/prophetic tv show of my lifetime, but here we are.
