I failed ethnomusicology, then that professor left and they hired this first year professor from West Virginia who blew my mind and became a dear friend! They died suddenly a couple of years ago…your post led me to this great remembrance I didn’t know about. Thank you!

I ended up at my place because in lieu of forms there was just a “schedule a call with us!” button and then a kind lady asked me some questions and set me up. I almost cried at how simple it was because everywhere else was so much work…just to get to the work!!

Ok matzo ball tortellini soup is genius. My favorite way to make tortellini soup is the lightly pan fry it before adding it to the soup. Helps keep the shape and the little bit of browning is a treat too.

Boyhood at the Somerville Theater during IFFB. It was sold out, not out in theaters yet, and it felt like we all collectively lived those ten years together. There was one fight, two medical emergencies and one woman screamed at Patricia Arquette (on screen). I never need to see it again.

The real human I am currently married to who owns this instrument and learned to read *alto clef* to play it says it’s a viola. But my famously inaccurate pocket computer says it’s a violine, which isn’t anything. A stumper for sure.
