Had I known I'd become disabled after nicking myself while shaving, or even that it was possible to become disabled from that...I probably would have triggered my autoimmune disease from stubbing my toe. Oh wait, that's Shannon Boxx, Olympic soccer player who has the same autoimmune disease I have.

While I agree that they're terrible, I think this can be expressed in a way that doesn't negatively portray people with mental health issues. These people are cruel and uncaring. I would never allow them around my children or pets or anyone I cared about.

I went to three different high schools and had three different sex educations. It's the only reason mine is so comprehensive. But there were still so many important things they didn't teach, like the difference between a healthy and unhealthy relationship, etc.

I've been following her on social media and have followed her work since at least 2012, the year after I became physically disabled. I don't know how I would have gotten through those first years without her work changing my understanding of disability for the better. She will definitely be missed.
