FYI: I stopped attending the Catholic Church years ago because of how the abuse was handled, and other things too. I still identify as a Catholic because of my upbringing and because the spiritual, faith practice still means a lot to me. But the organization itself? Nope.

We’re seeing it again with the Trump admin. Some people tie their identity around Trump and MAGA. Acknowledging the Epstein files would ruin their identity. Just like with the Catholic Church, some people’s identities are so wrapped up in it, you can’t convince them how bad the Epstein files are.

They refused to acknowledge the abuse, or downplayed it. They still feel that way. It’s like they’re saying the Church is the victim, not the tens of thousands of children in the U.S. (millions worldwide). They play “whataboutism”. As if that matters more than all the trauma those kids went through

I heard this from people who are practicing Catholics. Once the abuse and coverups were revealed, their first comment was that the Church was being targeted and other religions have the same problem but no one goes after those.

This all used to be speculation, but now it’s obvious.

When the truth comes out, the entire world will be shaken to the core.
