Still deciding which parts of myself I want to draw out on this particular platform.
Wrestling with the idea of “home” amidst the highs and lows of living in Queens, two years in. Here’s a poem from a moment of pause while waiting in a deli.

I am the penny
slipped from the pocket
ground into a gritty floor.

Jesus, I need to see
the broom in your hands,
your belly pressed against
the dust-mite floor, peering
into my darkness.

God, teach
us to pause
in this moment,

to tuck ourselves
into the curve
of Your slow arm,

that we may know
the miracle
of now.

Hi! 👋🏻 I was hesitant to join a new platform because:

(1) I already can’t keep up with what I have
(2) I don’t like the idea of choosing to avoid diverging ideas and only hear like-minded people.

But with the direction of popular platforms, I decided to get an account here.
