Here is a pair of Early Medieval sleeve/wrist clasps.
The clasp on the left was found last year. A few weeks ago in the same field the one on the right was found. They’re now reunited!

This week I dropped of Leicestershire Museums latest acquisition (which was kindly donated by the finder). It is a spindle whorl inscribed with Scandinavian Runes. Follow the link to read Judith Jesch's exciting reading of the whorl!

I am currently at Charnwood Museum for a finds day. But thought I would share this nice example of a plated denarius that’s just come in for recording. The copper-alloy core is so clear, the majority of the coin has retained its silver plate

Last week I recorded this beautiful late Bronze Age copper-alloy socketed hammer. Less than 65 have been recorded on the PAS database and this one is complete.

This weeks has to go to this pesky token disguised as a jetton! It was issued by William Hall between c.AD 1610 - 1635. The orb design mimics Nuremberg jettons issued during the same period.
