joco, jukebox the ghost, sara bareilles, ingrid michaelson…. little joy….the sounds of my childhood….. (i listened to a lot more but these are ones i think potentially have an influence on my writing)

when you try and force it it sounds bad. you can’t force it.

like obviously i write the songs and i put a lot of effort and work into them. but like. sometimes i have the Idea for a song but not the compulsion. for fan songs i need to have a compulsion to do it. it is like the song needs to exist, i guess? and it’s done when it’s done.

i’m sure i’ve posted about this on twitter before but sometimes i watch drawfee and am reminded of this dream
