I tracked a small package sent to me this week. Arrived at the main San Diego PO on Tuesday, was postmarked as received on Thursday. Congress must legislate against this change.

Months ago mailed a small padded envelope from San Diego to Hollywood. It went to Hawaii for a few days. Took more than a week - it’s a 110 mile journey.

My Mom is in a facility - it’s $10k a month. She was fortunate to get a bed, the other equally expensive facilities have months long wait lists. Doubt the cost will go down.

Coupled with the fact that there are no reasonably priced beds in nursing homes. If you have a small amount of money, you don't qualify for Medicaid (and there are no beds available); senior living is unaffordable, so families pay home health aides to care for parents while they work.
