As a kid, Richard Scarry's Find Your ABC's was one of my favorite books. I searched to find my three year old nephew a copy, and got this one from a third party on Amazon. It's a 1973 first edition! I'm a bit jealous now, since I haven't seen the copy I grew up with since I was a kid.

Just watched a video of Pope Leo talking about pro-life and death penalty stuff and someone suggested in the comments he needed to read the Bible...good sir did you just tell the freaking POPE that he needs to read the Bible. I'm certain he's read it more than I've read Heartless (my favorite book).

Tonight when talking to my bestie about how I cried when I started my Invisible Woman costume, and started crying on her, I realized how much more empathic the friends I have now are compared to some old ones who wouldn't have comforted me the way she did. They would have said it was just a costume.

I like to remind entries when they go "I've only won a judge's choice" that that is still an award won. We judges can't give everyone awards, even if we wish we could sometimes. But I hope for us to say "you are my personal choice" for any reason makes you feel honored.
A huge reminder that a Judge's Choice Award is still an amazing award! It means that the judge really loved your entry & it really stood out to them! They wanted your hard work to be shouted out! Everyone went all out, & the competition was stacked af. Going home with any win is still a huge honor!

Gotta do some fitting when there is another human awake in the house to help me, but most of the blue base for Invisible Woman's shirt is done. Did I mention I am using neoprene fabric for this? It's definitely thicker than what I usually use for superhero costumes, but it had the feel of the movie.
